Adib Khansari (1901-1982) started his music training as a child in Khansar, under tutelage of Andalib Golpayegani.

At the age of 18, he moved to Isfahan to study with Seyed Rahim, who was at the time, the most famous singing teacher of Esfahani style.

With his amazing and mesmerizing voice, at the age of 20, Adib had already become a master of Iranian Radif, a complex Iranian classical musical system. He moved to Tehran in 1924 at the age of 23. By then he was quite famous in his field. He recorded over 80 titles with Baidaphon, His Master’s Voice and Odeon companies. Furthermore, he gave numerous concerts in collaboration with Barbad Foundation.
